The Challenge: Construction of four-bedroom terrace with adequate storage rooms. Search for HS2 cross rails, underground railways, oil and gas, energy infrastructure and flood which might affect construction works. Result shows Phase 1 and 2 of HS2 project have been identified within 5Km of the property. However, HS2 route are still under consultation and exact alignments may change in the future.
The Solution: The construction works were carried out following Health and Safety policies in the construction industry. The project plans and management were constantly reviewed to forestall delays and curb unbudgeted spendings. Simplicity of programming and sequencing and getting the logistics right contributed to the safety of everyone: staff, client and public.
The Impact: Client satisfaction was met with positive feedback. The building showcased modern design with highly efficient energy savings. The building also has many storages and a large outdoor garden which was fully turfed.
