The Challenge: Internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of an abandoned factory to convert for use as a place of worship. The site had asbestos which was removed before commencement of physical works. The work was carried out during early stages of Covid restriction in the construction industry. Strict compliance to Covid and health and safety policies was followed.
The Solution: The key success to this contract work was to phase the works as simply as possible. The clients were adequately briefed on the challenges faced during the execution of the project mainly due to shortage of construction materials due to Covid and Brexit. The project plans and management were constantly reviewed to forestall delays and curb unbudgeted spendings. Simplicity of programming and sequencing and getting the logistics right contributed to the safety of everyone: staff, client and public.
The Impact: This high specification driven Worship centre was delivered on programme, quality and on budget to an extremely delighted client. Winner Chapel International, Sheffield was delighted to begin fellowship in a modern Worship centre which increased their membership significantly. Interests were registered by other denomination to replicate refurbishment works carried out for Winner’s Chapel International, Sheffield.
